The Industry

The hot dip galvanizing is a modern and technically advanced process that protects steel and iron from rusting. About 90 hot–dip galvanizing plants are settled in Italy and about 1,000 in Europe.
Each year the world industry produces about 7 million tons of zinc of which about 50% is used to protect steel from rust. The mineral is extracted from the numerous mining companies operating all over the world. Most of the zinc in Europe comes from Australia, Canada and South America. In Europe about 40.000 people work in the galvanizing industry.
Hot-Dip Galvanizing allows saving thousands of billions of euro, preventing the rust damage.
